A note from VistoBuild CEO & Founder, Barry Krsnak
A leader in building development for more than 40 years.
As an enterprise-level professional or team, it’s critical to understand that YOU control the entire project through your ability to make decisions and convey them to anyone who performs the task.
There are a thousand details in every project that never make it onto blueprints. Every detail is integrated with many other details to form a complete project. By not giving having a 100% complete project on paper, you’re setting your team up for failure (and yourself for disappointment and cost overruns) guaranteed. Without knowing the complete details of a project, you’ll be putting yourself in position to waste thousands of dollars.
By the time you’re finished reading this, you’ll realize there are many details that you may not have considered. Now you can be at the helm of your project with VistoBuild. With 40 plus years in the building and remodeling industry, I’ve had the great fortune to work with wonderful clients, architects, designers, etc. but not once did I receive a set of plans that were complete. I’ve managed projects ranging in size and scope from backyard decks to multi-million-dollar homes and this was consistently the case.
Look carefully at your plans. Do you see all of those wonderful details that you have in your head? I would wager you do not! And do you have an accurate method to describe these details? Again, most of the time, the answer is no.
VistoBuild will walk you through your project(s) no matter how large or small, one step at a time. By understanding the information your team will need prior, you will be prepared to manage your projects immediately from the start. Even if every detail doesn’t make it onto the plans, you’ll save a tremendous amount of money on the contractor’s end.
By supplying complete and accurate plans and information, we assure that your team is aligned. You’d be surprised at how seldom this is the case. A bonus is that you can carefully plan the job from start to finish and make more profit, do a better job, have a much better attitude and deliver, overall, a nicer experience at a lower cost to the client. (Yes, that’s how much money is wasted on projects with incomplete plans!) After all, that is the intention on each job. Both the homeowner and the contractor want to have a good experience. Incomplete plans and late information rob both parties of the possibility of this happening.
Most people complain about the cost of change orders. The reality is that most “changes” are really a decision that should have been made early on. No allowance was made at bidding time by any of the bidders and no preparation was given to the project for an important detail that you, the homeowner, knew all along and thought was on your plans because you mentioned it to your architect repeatedly.
Take the time to experience VistoBuild in a free trial before starting your next project and you will save precious time and money. If you already have plans, use VistoBuild to find out if YOU can answer all the questions by locating the answers on your plans.
I’ve had the pleasure of working in construction for over forty years and have no delusion about fixing the system. My hope is that I can help you avoid as many problems as possible, and in the process, create an environment in which you get what you envision and save thousands of dollars.
Best of luck!
